The Third Stage Plan of FLICAM
(2008~2010)

Because it is hard to predict the progress of the second stage progress now, we are not doing much planning. We do know that we still have quite few museums to build. However, the 2006 Feb. trip Dr. Hsu visited Italy and met Paraxo Group. They show strong interest to assist FLICAM to organize Italian artists.

It is also very encouraging in Germany. We know Westwald Museum well and we also know many ceramic artists there. So this is another country we can work on. Then the Riga meeting in 2006. FLICAM’s participation od IAC meeting there will make the Eastern Euripean Museum mature hast.

In Feb. 17,Dr. Hsu flew from Amsterdam to Genoa to meet an art event organizer Renza Sciutto renzasciutto@tiscali.it of Certro Culturale Paraxo Ole Listerude introduced her to me as a potential organizer for FLICAM. She is a very good artist specialize in oil painting with wax and ceramics with wax. She also makes special paper. Her daughter Alexandria Pischedda centroculturaleparaxo@yahoo.it (this e-mail add. Is also CCP’s.). Her father Antonello Pischedda (nello), the chairman of CCP. CCP formed in 1988. She came to airport to meet me. Then took me to see the Port Antico in Liguria, part of Genoa. They lived in Alassio. Port Antico, a newly developed port square designed by Renzo Piano, the famous “Bigo”, a mult Dr. Hsuarm lifter. There is sculpture very powerful, by Lele Luzzati,

Fabrizio de Andre’ is a famous Ligurian singer, world famous. Dr. Hsu bought a 3 disk CD and intend to play it in the future Italy Pavilion. In a gallery, Dr. Hsu see a ceramic artist’s work. His name is Adriano Leverone. His work is a whole body, one side always polished smooth in black color, the other sides are pieces patched irregularly. He is a candidate for coming to Fuping.

In Alassio, Dr. Hsu made a proposal for Italy Museum. DR. HSU authorized CCP as our organizer to find Italian artists. We signed the letter of authorization and also made a time table as following:

In the evening, an Italian architect Giorgio Baldizzone visited me in Renza’s house. Dr. Hsu shown all constructions and the new plan to him. He is very much interested and say such brick structure was Italian’s tradition but it is no longer possible because the labor is too expansive. He leads a design center in Shanghai for Italian business. He has been in China many times. The next possible time to go there is May. Dr. Hsu welcome him to Fuping and discuss with our people and we may be able to work out a Italin Museum has Italian flavor.

IIIB. Germany Ceramic Museum

Dr. Hsu first met Monica in 2003 at Taiwan Biennale. Monica was the juror of the competition. Then in 2004, Dr. Hsu met Bernard at the Fuping International Editors Symposium. Bernard is the husband of Monica. Then in 2005 Dr. Hsu paid a visit to the Westweld Ceramic Museum in Germany where Monica is the director of that museum.. Dr. Hsu told both of them then that eventually FLICAM will build a Ceramic Museum for Germany artists. They both indicated to help when the time comes.

In March 2006, Dr. Hsu attended the NCECA in Portland, and met Bernard again and Dr. Hsu indicated to him that FLICAM would build two museums at least before 2008, namely the third stage plan will at least including two museums namely for Italy and Germany. The program for the Gernmany Museum is an important one and Dr. Hsu like Monica start to think about and looking for artists. Meantime in Fuping, FLICAM also decided to put Germany Museum on the building schedule and hope to have a museum ready for them. Monica started to work on the list. In the Spring of 2007 the list of artists are available.
